Manasi Nadkarni

Manasi Nadkarni is the founder of Kathak in Cork, where she teaches both kids and adults in Cork  form Kathak as well as semi-classical Bollywood. She has been training under the tutelage of Guru Manisha Jeet for the past 20 years. She further honed her skills through workshops with Guru Archana Joglekar, Late Pandit Birju Maharaj ji, Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji, Guru Shama Bhate ji, Guru Roshan Datye, Guru Vidha Lal ji, and Aditya Kalyanpur. 

Apart from being a professional Kathak dancer, she is also trained in various folk dance forms under the tutelage of Late Guru Indumati Lele ji, as well as Latin dance forms such as Salsa (ON1 and Cuban), Bachata and Kizomba through Rocky Poonawala Dance Studio, Pune and The Tribe Dance Academy, Cork.

Manasi has performed on several national and global stages such as Mughal-e-Azam the musical, Doordarshan award shows, Cork Folk Festival, Cork Culture Night, and Perform Ireland. She was also selected as one of the representatives for kathak during the Akhil Bhaaratiya Sanskrutik Sangh Cultural exchange program in Thailand. 

Alongside her dance classes, she uses that expertise to choreograph dance routines as the lead choreographer of Aatma Indian Dance Troupe, Cork. She aims to spread the joy of her culture through the medium of her dance.
