Dia Sarkar

Hello, I’m Dia Sarkar, and dance is my heartbeat. I completed my Masters in Business Information and Analytical Systems from University College Cork and currently thrive as a Sales Operation Business Partner at Johnson Controls. However, my true passion lies in the world of dance. For the past four years, I’ve been an integral part of the Aatma team, where I not only dance but also serve as a choreographer. Dancing is where I find my purest joy, connecting with the vibrant energy of Indian dance forms alongside the wonderful Aatma team.

My dance journey began at the tender age of two, starting with classical forms and gradually venturing into western styles. I’ve had the privilege of working with esteemed choreographers like Remo D’Souza, Terence Lewis, Farah Khan, etc. which honed my skills across various genres including Bollywood, hip-hop, folk, contemporary, etc. Living abroad, I’ve made it my mission to share the richness of Indian culture through dance with diverse communities.

Aatma has provided me with the perfect platform to fulfill this goal, allowing me to showcase our traditional folk dances while expanding my own knowledge and expertise. Dance remains my first love, a medium through which I not only express myself but also connect deeply with others who share my passion. I’m grateful for every opportunity to spread the beauty of dance and the cultural heritage of India, and I look forward to continuing this journey with boundless enthusiasm and energy.
